A man shot in the face throughout Friday's Hollywood shootout was in critical condition at Cedar-Sinai Health-related Center.
John Atterberry of Hollywood, who functions as a music business executive, was sitting in his silver Mercedes sports activities vehicle Friday near the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Vine Street once the gunman shot him within the face. The gunman fired indiscriminately at vehicles and pedestrians prior to being fatally shot by Los Angeles police officers.

"At first it seemed like a film," said photographer Gregory Bojorquez, who was walking to a financial institution when he saw individuals running and screaming that a gunman was on the loose.
"But then you can hear the shots hitting metal," he additional.
The suspect, whose body lay covered in a white sheet on Vine for several hours following he was shot, is a 26-year-old Los Angeles man, stated LAPD Sgt. Mitzi Fierro. Atterberry is "a great guy, a great guy," said one of his buddies outside the victim's Hollywood Hills home Friday in an interview with KNBC 4. The friend stated Atterberry planned to throw a Christmas party in the home next week.
